Beginnings
In the beginging, there was a being, and no more. The being drifted trough the void that was before the multiverse formed, casually pondering about things and ideas no one mortal even can begin to understand.
However, somehow these ideas manisfested themselves. First as small things, barely specks of dust, but evergrowing – creating landmassess, planets, galaxies and eventually universes. Some were almost identical to each other, like a repeating dream. Some were unique. Some had life, magic, technology, physics, ideas, some just a few of these, some none. But somehow, all were equal in power, and all were unaware.
And so the void filled with world and possibilities, wild and uncontrolled. And to this day, maybe more are born and created. We do not know.
But then something unexpected happened. One of the specks gained a conscience, then another, then more, as eventually a handful of them coalescenced up. Next to nothing is known about these consciences, only that they are collectively known as the Old Gods. Their names scarcely pop up in the runes within walls of ancient ruins. Only one of them remains for sure to this day – Mummud.
The Old Gods ruled over the universe, and sought to see it was happy. And it was for a very long time.
The Old Gods wanted to have more of them. They were bored of having the same few people around them for millennia. So they decided to make another god. The only one opposing the idea was Mummud. He always opposed ideas. They crushed down a universe to a speck, and infused it into a body. And just to spite Mummud, they gave him the same powers as him.
Pravus and Mummud did not like each other from the start. They saw each other as rivals, and their fights soon turned into a war that spanned the universe. It was ravaging, sending countless civilizations into doom with diseases, meteors, or just straight up bullets. And as civilizations fell, so did the Old Gods – succumbing to any and all death forms that were known. Their powers were collected by Pravus, yet they weren’t enough.
In the end, only Pravus and Mummud remained, with a dead universe at their feet. The two gods, locked in a perfect stalemate.
Pravus knew he had to end this while he still had the chance. He also knew that his power alone could not do it. He had to find something new that could tip the balance into his favor. No, he had to make something.
He took a shard of his godly power and fused it with something that never had witnessed its power. He fused it with a law of the universe. And so Angle was created, the first of the lesser gods.
With Angle aiding him, he banished Mummud into a new plane of existence, one that Angle could create. That plane of existence is known to this day as the Bangle Fields, and Mummud can still be found at its core.
With the threat gone, it was time to rebuild what was lost. The two together brought over intelligent species from different dimensions, ones that were in dire situations and wanted a second chance at living. They even created a few brand new ones. However, Pravus did not want to spend all his time managing all the new civilizations. He wanted to do other things as well. As such, he left things for Angle to manage.
He also created more of these lesser gods, by giving various people and things shards of his power. These became known as the Faith Keepers.
This all happened 800 years ago.
